A record breaking number of over 60s are going under the knife to stay looking young, but at what expense?

It is commonly believed by psychologists that after a certain age our minds no longer grow in the same way. We essentially feel like the age at which we fully matured for the rest of our lives. Unfortunately the same is not true of our exteriors. Given that life expectancy continues to grow and our minds stay young, it comes as no surprise that increasing numbers of people are turning to plastic surgery in order to look as young as they feel.
A survey showed that 45% of 20 to 30-year-olds think they will have plastic surgery by the time they turn 60.
Whether it’s to find love after a recent divorce, wanting to look younger at work or just boosting self-confidence in a world where the media tells us only young faces are beautiful, plastic surgery seems a proven solution.
